This event was made even more special in 2011 by the generous donation of $100.00 prize money for each member of the winning team. The Manawatu Saddle Up adult riding club gave us this wonderful donation to reward the most successful team and to honour the teamwork between riders.

It is amazing how much you can accomplish when it doesn’t matter who gets the credit.
This year we had 7 teams vying for points and the kudos of winning the teams championship. The winning team was Team Awesome who hold the silver salver for the next year and take home the prize money, victory sashes and the glory. We would like to thank Anita Clarke and Trophy Specialists for the silver salver, Stirling Sports for the medals and Saddle Up for the prize money that made this competition so special.
The Muppets were a close second and only 8 points behind. Team Tahi, Rua, Toru was third. The 3 young girls of Team Super Ponies were in 4th position. Fifth place was awarded to Team Norfolk. The 21 riders who entered should be proud of their efforts and we look forward to their participation in 2012.
